HIV/AIDS Prevention

60% of street children and young people have lost parents due to HIV/AIDS. Worse still, children living in the streets or in slum communities are at risk of being infected with HIV/AIDS. Most children are involved in unprotected sex and have no or low knowledge about it. In addition the stigma and discrimination associated with AIDS often deprives them of basic social services and education. CRO embarks on raising awareness through HIV/AIDS programs. Each project has a peer club which deals with this particular problem.
HIV/AIDS messages are developed through role plays, dramas, songs, poems and use of puppets to disseminate information to people.
