cro sch girlsChild Restoration Outreach (CRO) is a Non-Government Organization established in 1992 by a Dutch national, Ingrid Wilts, together with a group of local Christians in Mbale, Uganda to address the problem of street children following instability in Teso and Karamoja sub-regions.

Mr. Moses Bwayo, the CRO Mbale Program manager, says, they have, since 1998, extended their services to the towns of Jinja, Masaka and Lira.

With such expansion, the CRO National Office was established to oversee the five projects and it share premises with the Mbale project located along Bishop Wasike Road, Mbale.

CRO started working with a small number of children from 1992, but over the years the number of street children has been increasing and this made the project to strengthen its strategies to save the plight of these children.
