Children from the streets are enlisted in the rehabilitation program which runs for one year.The class is highly flexible, interactive and adresses the individual needs of the children.
CRO has designed a rehabilitation curriculum where by street children are equipped to improve their well being. This curriculum is child-centered and aims at anabling the child get interested in learning.
Children attend a half day rehabilitation class where they learn crucial life skills, functional literacy and get introduced to academic subjects such as mathematics, English, science and art.The rest of the day children get involved in games, sports, music dance and drama.
Children also learn to handle their past (traumatic experiences),about HIV/AIDS, Sexual Reproductive Health and personal hygiene.
On successful completion of the program, the child can join either formal school or vocational training.
