On the 16th of December, 2022, CRO Uganda celebrated 30 years of serving children in street connected situations as well as the communities from where they’re resettled. This was  under the theme found in 1Samuel 7:2; “EbenezermeaningHitherto hath the Lord helped us”.

“No Money to waste on Girls” – Sandra beats Odds.

Sandra from Okworo-Okworo in Lira City East last attended school in primary two (P 2 class) at Akia primary school in 2017 due to poverty since her family couldn’t raise even the few school requiements considering they were many children at home. She is the fifth born out of seven siblings of her mother plus many from her father.

VIDEO:Celebrating Day of the African Child,2022

The Day of the African Child is celebrated each year on June 16th. The day recognises the ten thousand black students that marched in the streets of South Africa calling for an end to the Black Education Act on June 16th, 1976. The Black Education Act legally segregated students based on their race and created damaging inequalities in South Africa’s education system.
