We begged for money and food while the other siblings collected scrap which they would sell to get money for rent. I did not attend school because I had to take care of my mother.
In 2005, CRO social workers found me and my mother in the streets. They talked to her and asked her to let me attend school at CRO. They found someone who would take care of my mother while I attend school. At CRO, they gave me food and I attended the rehabilitation class. I learnt how to read and write. In 2006, I was enrolled in Nabuyonga primary school. I am now in primary two. My best subject is science. I like to play with other children a game called “Bladder”. In this game, we make rubber ropes and jump over in turns. I love CRO because they give me food to eat. When I grow up, I want to be a nurse.
