Child Restoration Outreach CRO together with other partners like Devoted Youths at Work in Africa ,Jenga, Link Child Foundation and Mbale district Covid 19 Task team have opened up an emergency drop-in center for children on the street in Mbale town.

This joint effort was intended to curb the spread of the corona virus among this vulnerable group as well as provide these homeless children with essential needs during the country wide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the center , the children are tested for COVID-19, afforded psycho-social care and counseling, furnished with mattresses, food, a hygienic environment , and life skills training.

They also often meet  with  local government ,security officials  and social workers from the different supporting organizations to brief and encourage them to embrace positive change as well and promoting safety during this pandemic period.
