Santa Claus in Mbale for early Christmas

It was such a joyous day that opened with music, dance and drama performances by children groups from various communities in Mbale such as Nauyo, Nakaloke, Muyanda, Bumboi, Mooni, Nakaloke, Namalogo, Mutoto and CRO community comprising of Rhino, Lions and Giraffe. The presentations were under the theme “Child Participation”.

 The preacher of the day emphasized the importance of “Love” as the quality that is always patient and kind, never jealous, never boastful or conceited, never rude or selfish and neither takes offense nor resentful. This is a quality that drives CRO to help restore the children to life as originated by God.

The Guest of honor, officer in-charge child protection, Mbale district cautioned the parents, guardians and caretakers about showing concern and support for their children especially with lunch when they’re enrolled back in schools.

The occasion was also filled with celebration of achievements in terms of degree graduates, passing out of rehabilitation class 2018 and vocational trained youths, and also awarding of best performers in academics, sports, discipline and community facilitators.

Finally, the day ended with the cutting of the cake and a meal served to all the people in attendance.
