Rescue

Identifying and reaching out to children in street situations through trained outreach workers.

Rehabilitation

Providing a safe space, counselling, and initial care to help children stabilise physically and emotionally.

Reintegration

Reuniting children with their families or finding appropriate alternative family-based care.

Empowerment

Supporting children and families with education, skills, and resources to build a sustainable future.

Evaluation

Monitoring each child's progress and wellbeing to ensure lasting change and identify further support needed.

Exit

Formally closing the case once the child is safely reintegrated and no longer dependent on the programme.

Objectives

  • To foster stakeholder involvement in the promotion and protection of the rights of street-connected children in targeted communities.
  • To increase access to services that enhance the quality of life among street-connected children in targeted communities by 2030.
  • To improve the spiritual and psychosocial wellbeing of street-connected children in targeted communities by 2030.
  • To enhance the socio-economic status of families and communities of street-connected children in targeted communities by 2030.

  • Pre-contemplation. Not yet aware that change is needed.
  • Contemplation. Beginning to consider change is possible.
  • Preparation. Getting ready to take the first steps.
  • Action. Actively making changes in daily life.
  • Maintenance. Sustaining change over time.
  • Relapse & Recovery. Setbacks happen, and support continues.
